If the converted file cannot be played in QuickTime, then the conversion maybe a failure you definitely cannot load/drag it into iTune. Please convert it again.
If you can load/drag the converted file into iTune, but cannot drag it to iPod then you have to change your iTune settings to "manage files manually" in "my ipod" setting after connecting your iPod with pc.
